Welcome to our Family Artisan Bakery, where tradition meets taste!

Our family has been celebrating the joy of baking since 1972, when our Grandad, Derek, first opened the doors to Cornfield Bakery. Since then, the business has grown and thrived in the hands of our Dad, Geoff, who has recently hung up his oven gloves and retired!

As third-generation bakers, we're passionate about crafting high-quality baked goods, using time-honored techniques - We get to do what we love every, single day.

 

Our small team of dedicated bakers creates a delicious range of fresh, handcrafted bakes. From our naturally fermented wild-yeast sourdough to our simple sandwich loaf, delightful pastries, and our famous lardy cakes; every item is made with skill, and the finest ingredients - using traditional methods that bring out the best flavours in every bite.​

Our Methods

Our traditional slow fermentation process naturally enhances the flavour and nutrition of the loaf. â€‹During fermentation, acetic acid helps break down the gluten, aiding digestion and reducing bloating, whilst lactic acid boosts nutrient absorption. ​

The end result? A more flavourful, wholesome loaf with a lower glycemic index (GI), making it easier on your body and better for your health.

Our Suppliers

We source the best ingredients available to us.

Our flour is sourced from Cotswold Flour, Britain's number 1 Artisan Miller based in the Cotswolds. All grains are sourced from UK farmers.
