A passion turned into a business

Every business has a beginning and for us it started with a simple passion for baking fresh, artisan bread, made properly.


When our Grandad Derek first opened the Cornfield Bakery in 1972, baking wasn't about trends or convenience. It was about early mornings, honest ingredients and the satisfaction of creating something people could rely on every day. What began as a passion quickly became a place for the local community trusted for fresh bread and traditional baking.


As the years went on, that passion was passed down. Our Dad, Geoff, continued the family tradition, helping to shape Cornfield Bakery into what it is today, a bakery rooted in consistency, craftsmanship and pride in doing things the right way. Through changing times and tastes the heart of the bakery never changed.


Today, Cornfield Bakery is proudly led by us, Joe, Brandon and Dee.

While we bring fresh ideas and energy, the foundation remains the same. The skills, values and standards that our Grandad started, and Dad strengthened, are still at the core of everything that comes out of our ovens.


Being a family business means more than sharing a name. It means understanding the responsibility that comes with it, to customers, to staff and the community that has supported us for decades.
